IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ

Soon (1-2 weeks), you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, just click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. While the deadline may be a few months away, filling your survey out promptly will help us manage fulfilment much easier on our end.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link by PMing or emailing us.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please let us know via PM or email. 

These surveys are what help us get the correct info we need to send your rewards, so please check your spam folders, etc. and allow backerkit.com/add backetkit.com to your safe list to make sure those emails get through.

 - Justin, one of our devs (also from Koala Bear Swamp) is starting to schedule "Learn to Play" sessions of Gangs of the Undercity for a tournament soon. If anyone is interested, please join our Discord (https://discord.gg/sqd9M5ucT9) and look for announcements. These sessions will be on Tabletop Simulator online. Make sure that when you join the discord, you click on the "welcome-read-this-first" channel and choose a role, or else you'll be kicked from the server when you log off. This prevents spammers. 

 - If you haven't checked out Seeds of Wars: A New Horizon, it's pretty neat. They boosted us during our campaign, so I thought it would be nice to boost them a bit. 

 - Also, keep your eyes peeled for another game we'll be hosting called Hellslayers. It is written by one of our own Fragging Unicorns, Clifton Lambert, A.K.A. Mr. Johnson from the Arcology Podcast. Hey friends, we did it!

The campaign for Subversion has ended, and while I will have so much more to say and share over the next few months, I wanted to pause and thank everyone who backed. You made such an incredible impact on us folks at Fragging Unicorns and we appreciate you so much!

Stretch Goals Unlocked!

Since we ended at $61,879, that means we passed the thresholds for 2 new stretch goals. First, the fiction anthology is now for sure happening, AND the city map of Neo Babylon is going to happen! Everyone who pledged will get a PDF of the city map, and the fiction anthology and print version of the map will both be available in the pledge manager as add-ons!

More to come soon, folks, but in the meantime, thank you again!

You have all been so awesome! We now sit at 492% funded and less than $800 away from yet another stretch goal! If this goal is met, we unlock the Subversion fiction anthology. 

The Fiction Anthology

The next stretch goal will feature 10+ short stories, in the same format as our last anthology, Neo Babylon Nights. Neo Babylon Nights is set in the same universe as Subversion, but accompanied our Gangs of the Undercity game. These stories will focus on slices of life all over Neo Babylon and beyond, giving you a feel for the world and inspirations for your games. Well respected authors are joining with complete newcomers to give you a glimpse into the unfolding World of Neo Babylon. The authors include:

Guy over at LoudPoet.com blogged about how he is making Subversion his new go-to game!

I'd love to see some hype build towards the end of the campaign, and maybe even hit the 60k stretch goal and get another map (of NEO BABYLON)! So keep sharing (because sharing is caring).

Past the Halfway Mark!

Hey folks, just checking in. 

We've got two weeks left in the campaign, and we're sitting at close to $47,000, 470% of our goal. There will be a few more interviews and reviews coming soon, but I think it is safe to say  the rest is up to word of mouth, and you lot, to spread the word. 

We've got 1 stretch goal in view at $50k, the fiction anthology, and it is well within reason that we'll hit the $60k stretch goal of the Neo Babylon Map before all is said and done. Of course, it is totally possible that we'll hit even greater heights as well. We never say never!

Progress with Rules

There has been a TON of great feedback and discussion on our Fragging Unicorns Discord about the free beta rules. Too much, in fact, for us to be able to incorporate it in a week. So we don't have a new update to the beta document. But we are incorporating as much as we can as we go and we'll release a new version as soon as we get all the feedback integrated. We'll let you know, and the links will still work to download the new version.

We'd love for you to join us in the discord and have you as part of our community! We're really nice.

A Few Interesting Developments

We have had three different game companies/distributors from other regions/languages reach out to us about translating Subversion and releasing it into their language market. So you may see Subversion in German, Spanish, or Hungarian in the not-too-distant future, but nothing is set in stone yet. 

Also, we have decided to use Print Ninja to fulfil much of our printed books (though not all, depending on the market), as they align with our values, offer the options we want, and have good customer service. :)

New Version of Beta Rules & More!

Hey everyone! We've passed $44k! Slow and steady, but we're on track to hit at least 1 more stretch goal, if not two (OR EVEN THREE?!) by the end in two and half weeks. We've also got a few fun interviews and reviews coming soon, so maybe we'll get a bump there as well!

New Beta Rules Document

Thanks to some amazing feedback we've received, mostly through the interaction on our Discord Server, we've pushed out a new update: You can grab it here.

Many of you have been asking where you can find even more lore about Neo Babylon. And since you've been asking, we are happy to oblige. Note that nothing in these extras are essential to enjoying subversion. But it's fun!

Neo Babylon Nights: This is our fiction anthology set in the world of Neo Babylon. Diverse stories by diverse authors as a collection of slices of Neo Babylon life. Grab the PDF here or the print edition here. 

Finding Home Below The World: An Undercity Cookbook: The community of the table matters, especially in the Undercity. In this cookbook, you'll find the world itself holds all that it needs within the meals of those in Neo Babylon's underbelly. Grab PDF and Print editions here.

Gangs of the Undercity: This was Fragging Unicorns' first game, and while not an RPG, it is set in the same world as Subversion: Neo Babylon. So if you wanted a bit more lore and story from the Undercity and gang life, this is where you'd get it. You can grab it here OR a FREE version here. 

Subversive Arcana: When we started out, before even Gangs of the Undercity came out, we released a series of video shorts on our youtube channel called Subversive Arcana. It tells the history of the world of Neo Babylon in brief, and was intended to be a sort of quick and dirty primer for those interested. Its a bit dated, but we still like it. Check it out here.

Undercity Audio Drama: This audio drama follows Abimiras, a down and out human in the Undercity as he tries to do good, but ends up behind bars. Check it out here or look for it on the Worlds Without End podcast.
